Get to know me!
I have lived in Portugal since 1987, and have since worked in many different areas of tourism in the country. I spent my first time in Portugal in Madeira, where my great interest in botany was born, then I studied Portuguese history, art history and cultural history at the University of Lisbon, among other things. I love hiking and cycling in the fantastic nature. Even though I was born and raised in Sweden, my home and heart are in Portugal!

The trip exceeded expectations. Very well arranged with a reasonable pace during the days. Good hotels in nice places. The food selection with all the cafes and restaurants is enormous. The landscape in the areas we stayed in offered fantastic views and impressive vineyards were visited - all of them were of the highest class. An extra plus to Helena von Essen. She is a living encyclopedia when it comes to Portugal's history and wine management in the country. Incredibly interesting to share her knowledge.
