About our trips to the Middle East

The Middle East offers a fascinating mix of history, culture and modern experiences. Here, millennia-old civilizations meet with forward-thinking cities like Dubai. The Middle East encompasses several countries, including Jordan, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, and offers everything from desert landscapes and historical attractions to luxurious metropolises. Whether you want to experience Petra in Jordan or discover the modern architecture of Dubai, there are trips to the Middle East for every taste. Our trips combine comfortable accommodation, well-planned programs and knowledgeable tour guides.

What is the weather like in the Middle East?

The Middle East generally has a hot and dry climate, with plenty of sunshine all year round. During the summer months, temperatures can be very high, often exceeding 35–40 degrees, especially in desert areas. Winter is milder and is often considered the best time to travel, with temperatures that are perfect for both excursions and sightseeing. In some areas, such as along the coast or in mountainous areas, the climate can be slightly cooler. The dry climate makes the Middle East an attractive travel destination for much of the year.

Which countries are included in the Middle East?

The Middle East is a region of several countries in Western Asia and includes Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Yemen, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. The Middle East has a long and complex history and has been a central place for trade, religion, and culture for thousands of years. Today, these countries offer a wide variety of experiences, from historical sites to modern cities.

Dubai

Dubai is one of the world's most famous cities and has developed into a global destination for shopping, entertainment and luxury. Here you will find modern architecture, impressive skyscrapers and some of the world's largest shopping malls. The city is also known for its restaurants and its wide range of experiences, from desert safaris to beach life. Dubai has also been noted for its modern food culture, where everything from international dishes to local specialties and trends such as Dubai chocolate attract visitors.

Petra in Jordan

Petra in Jordan is one of the world's most famous historical sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ancient city is carved into pink rock and was built over 2,000 years ago by the Nabataeans. The most famous building is Al-Khazneh, also known as the Treasury, which greets visitors as they walk through the narrow Siq gorge. Petra is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and one of the Middle East's most spectacular sights.

Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is one of the world's most unique places and is located on the border between Jordan and Israel. It is known for its extremely salty water, which allows you to easily float on its surface. The high salt content means that no fish, plants or other living organisms can survive there. The area is also located at the lowest point on land on Earth. In addition to the special bathing experience, the area is known for its mineral-rich mud that can be used in skin care. A visit to the Dead Sea combines nature experience with relaxation.

Oman

Oman offers a more natural experience of the Middle East. Here you will encounter dramatic desert landscapes, mountains, coastlines and historic cities. The country is known for its hospitality and its well-preserved culture. In Oman you can experience everything from desert hikes to markets. The combination of nature, history and a peaceful atmosphere makes Oman a unique destination in the Middle East.

Tips for your trip to the Middle East

Before your trip to the Middle East, it is important to take the climate into account, so make sure to pack light clothing, sunscreen and drink plenty of water. At the same time, in some countries it may be a good idea to wear more covering clothing when visiting religious sites. Always check visa regulations and any entry requirements well in advance of your departure. In many countries, cash is still common, although cards are accepted in larger cities. It is also a good idea to show respect for local traditions and customs. With the right preparation, you will have a safe and memorable trip to the Middle East.
