We arrive in Tokyo, extraordinary capital and one of the most dynamic cities in the world. Here, centuries-old temples and serene gardens coexist with neon-lit skyscrapers, high-speed trains, and an endless energy that never fades.

As we transfer from the airport to the hotel Ryogoku View Hotel, we catch our first glimpses of Tokyo’s dazzling skyline. After check-in, available from 16:00, the rest of the day is free to relax and settle in. Some may wish to take a short evening walk to experience the city’s pulse, while others might prefer to rest and recharge for the adventures ahead.

Today we dive into the vibrant heart of Tokyo.

We head to Asakusa’s Senso-ji Temple, where fragrant incense drifts through the air and the iconic red Thunder Gate welcomes us to the lively Nakamise Arcade, lined with traditional crafts and local treats. From the observation deck of the Tokyo Skytree, soaring 350 meters above the city, Tokyo unfolds beneath us like a shimmering sea of lights.

Later, we pass through the stylish avenues of Ginza before experiencing the exhilarating energy of Shibuya Crossing, where thousands of footsteps move in remarkable harmony. At the beloved Hachiko Statue, we pause for photos and hear the touching story of the faithful dog who waited for his master each day.

If time permits, we will also explore Shinjuku and the vibrant Kabukicho area, known for its neon lights and bustling nightlife.

In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner to savor the flavors of Japanese cuisine.

Today is a full free day in Tokyo, offering the freedom to discover the city in your own way.

Art and technology enthusiasts may step into the dazzling digital worlds of teamLab Planets, an immersive museum where light, sound, and movement merge into unforgettable experiences. Others might wander the stylish streets of Harajuku, where fashion knows no limits, or head to Shinjuku, with its soaring towers that provide sweeping city views.

For a touch of tranquility, the beautifully landscaped Shinjuku Gyoen Garden invites peaceful walks among lush greenery. Food lovers, meanwhile, can dive into narrow alleyways lined with cozy izakayas, sampling skewers, noodles, and delicate wagashi sweets.

Today we prepare our main luggage for transfer and pack an overnight bag.

Our first stop is Oishi Park, where colorful seasonal flowers frame a picture-perfect view of Mount Fuji, rising in majestic silence. We then continue to Oshino Hakkai, a charming village of thatched-roof houses, where crystal-clear ponds fed by Fuji’s melted snow shimmer in shades of blue and green.

Later, we board the legendary shinkansen, Japan’s iconic bullet train. Gliding at breathtaking speed yet in near silence, it stands as a symbol of the country’s elegance and precision. In just a few hours, we arrive in Kyoto, a city of narrow streets, wooden teahouses, and timeless charm. From the station, we make our way to the hotel, either on foot or by public transport depending on its location.

Kyoto, once Japan’s imperial capital, welcomes us with timeless treasures from centuries past.

At Nijo Castle, we tread across wooden floors that famously “chirp” like nightingales, an ingenious design to protect the shoguns from intruders. At the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), gold leaf gleams in the sunlight, perfectly mirrored in the still waters of the surrounding pond. At Kiyomizu-dera, we step onto a vast wooden terrace that seems to float above the treetops, offering sweeping views of the city below.

As evening falls, we wander through the lantern-lit streets of Gion, where the rhythmic clip-clop of wooden sandals echoes through the alleys — and with a little luck, we may glimpse a geisha gracefully on her way to an evening engagement.

Our day begins at Nishiki Market, a lively arcade fondly known as “Kyoto’s Kitchen.” Here, the colors and aromas of pickled vegetables, sizzling seafood, and delicate sweets tempt us at every turn.

We continue to the seemingly endless vermilion gates of Fushimi Inari Taisha, a sacred pathway that feels like stepping into another world.

Later, we visit a sake brewery, where the rich fragrance of fermented rice fills the air as we sample Japan’s most celebrated drink.

By evening, we arrive in Osaka, a city ablaze with neon lights, towering food displays, and the bustling energy of Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, creating a dazzling spectacle of sound and color.

Today we set out on an excursion to Nara, a city where history and nature blend in perfect harmony.

At Todaiji Temple, one of the largest wooden structures in the world, we stand in awe before the Great Buddha, a colossal bronze figure radiating calm and serenity. In Nara Park, gentle deer wander freely, often bowing as if in greeting to visitors. Feeding them with special crackers sold in the park is a charming experience that adds to the city’s unique atmosphere.

We then continue to the tranquil Kasuga Taisha Shrine, where thousands of stone and bronze lanterns line shaded pathways, standing like silent guardians of the past.

Back in Osaka, we visit the iconic Osaka Castle, its striking white and green towers rising proudly above the surrounding moat. In the evening, we gather for a festive farewell dinner, celebrating the flavors and memories of our unforgettable Japanese journey.

Our journey draws to a close as we transfer to the airport for our flight home.

Depending on our departure time, there may be one last opportunity to stroll through Osaka — to pick up a few souvenirs or savor a final bowl of steaming ramen.

As we bid farewell, we carry with us the images, flavors, and sounds of Japan: the stillness of temples at dawn, the laughter echoing through lively markets, the rush of bullet trains, and the gentle beauty of Japan that will remain in our hearts.
