The Balkans is a region in southeastern Europe that includes countries such as Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo. Here, history, culture and nature meet in a varied environment with mountains, coasts and cities. The Balkans have become increasingly popular, not least because of their contrasts. Here, for example, you can hike in national parks, visit historic cities such as Ohrid in North Macedonia or explore the coast of Croatia. In Albania, both beaches and mountains await, while Slovenia offers lakes such as Bled. The combination of nature, history and holiday resorts makes the Balkans a versatile travel destination.

The Baltics consist of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, which are located on the Baltic Sea and offer a mix of history, culture and nature. The Baltics are known for their historic city centers. In cities such as Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius you can stroll through old town districts with cobblestone streets, churches and historic buildings. Outside the cities there is nature with forests, coastal stretches and national parks that are suitable for excursions and hikes. The Baltics are a popular travel destination during Christmas and winter, and offer many cozy Christmas markets.

In the Netherlands, canals, cycling and colourful tulip fields are a big part of everyday life. Here you can explore cities on foot or by bike, visit museums and experience life along the canals. The Netherlands is often called Holland, but in reality Holland is only part of the country and refers to two of its provinces. Today, however, the name Holland is often used in everyday speech to refer to the whole of the Netherlands. Belgium borders the Netherlands and is a multilingual country where Dutch, French and German are spoken. Here you can visit Brussels, see architecture from different eras and partake in the country's food culture with chocolate, waffles and French fries.

Malta and Cyprus are two islands in the Mediterranean that combine sun, swimming and history. There are both beaches and historical sites. These islands are a perfect destination whether you want to sunbathe and swim or hike through the countryside. In Malta you can explore the capital Valletta, visit historic buildings and swim along the coast. In Cyprus you can combine beach life. Both destinations are suitable for trips where you want to alternate relaxation with experiences.

The Caucasus encompasses Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan and is located on the border between Europe and Asia, offering a mix of culture, history and nature.
