There are a total of 44 countries in Asia, with China being the largest country (excluding Russia) and the Maldives being the smallest by area. The continent is home to a huge variety of cultures, landscapes and climates, ranging from the tropical beaches of Southeast Asia to mountainous regions such as the Himalayas.

Explore Tokyo

Tokyo is the capital of Japan and one of the world's largest cities. Here, modern technology and architecture meet with historic temples and traditions.
