We then continue to Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and other iconic places that showcase the charm and grandeur of the Spanish capital. Overnight in Madrid.
The day is free for your own discoveries in Madrid – perhaps a walk through Retiro Park, a visit to world-famous museums such as the Prado , or a quiet moment in a café.
For those who wish, we will gather in the evening for an authentic experience at a Tablao Madrileño , where we will enjoy a passionate flamenco show. Price from 95 USD. Overnight in Madrid.
After breakfast we take the train to Barcelona , a journey of approximately three hours through the Spanish countryside to the Mediterranean coast.
When we arrive in Barcelona, we check into our hotel Catalonia Park Putxet and then the day is free for our own wanderings.
Today our local guide takes us on a tour through Barcelona's most iconic neighborhoods.
We start in the Gothic Quarter , a network of narrow medieval alleys filled with hidden treasures. Then we stroll along Passeig de Gràcia , lined with impressive modernist architecture, and finally reach lively La Rambla , home to the colorful Boqueria market.
After the guided tour, a tasting of locally produced Vermouth awaits, accompanied by a traditional " bomba ". A deep-fried potato croquette with aioli and hot red brava sauce, which explains the name, as it is an explosion of flavor.
We then return to the hotel. Overnight in Barcelona.
The highlight of the day is a visit to Park Güell , one of Gaudí's great masterpieces. Here, colorful mosaics, playful shapes and panoramic views of Barcelona meet in a completely unique setting. Originally planned as a residential area, it later became a public park and is today one of the foremost examples of modernist architecture.
We also pass the world-famous Sagrada Familia , Gaudí's still-unfinished basilica and one of the world's most famous buildings. Its intricate facades and monumental size have made it a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it continues to grow as the most iconic symbol of Barcelona.
After breakfast we will head to Sitges , a charming coastal town with medieval origins that became a center for artists and intellectuals such as Picasso and Rusiñol in the 19th century. Together with a local guide we will experience the relaxed atmosphere and artistic heritage of the town that still inspires visitors today.
We then enjoy a Paella lunch before continuing to the Penedès wine region, where we visit a local winery and have the opportunity to taste the famous cava, Spain's prestigious sparkling wine, along with regional delicacies.
Return to Barcelona for some free time in the evening.
After breakfast at the hotel, it's time to check out. Our guide will accompany us to the airport for our return flight, marking the end of our unforgettable Spanish adventure.
