Weather and best time to travel to Champagne

Champagne has a temperate climate with distinct seasons. Spring offers budding vineyards and pleasant temperatures, summer is green and vibrant, and late summer and early autumn are particularly appreciated by wine enthusiasts as the harvest approaches or is in progress. Many believe that the best time to travel to Champagne is from May to October, when both nature and the wine villages are at their most inviting.

Winter also has its charm, especially around New Year's Eve when the region's bubbly traditions are particularly fitting. The weather is cooler and the days are shorter, but the atmosphere in Reims, in the restaurants and in the wine cellars, can be very festive.
