After breakfast we meet our driver and guide and travel west towards the elegant city of Bath.

Here we visit the impressive Roman Baths , one of the world's best-preserved Roman sites. Built over natural hot springs nearly 2,000 years ago, the site allows us to travel back in time and imagine life during Roman times. The large bath is still filled daily with naturally heated water, and the interactive exhibits bring history to life.

We will then have time to enjoy Bath on our own and have lunch in peace and quiet. Perhaps a walk among the city's beautiful Georgian buildings or a visit to one of the charming shops will tempt you.

Later in the day we continue to the fabled stone circle of Stonehenge . During our self-guided visit we explore this iconic prehistoric monument at our own pace, learning about its history and many mysteries, while enjoying the open countryside of Salisbury Plain. The visitor centre is included.

Please note that the order of visits may be adjusted.

Together we explore Scotland's capital and stroll along the historic Royal Mile. We see Arthur's Seat, Holyrood Palace and the elegant Scott Monument. The city's dramatic skyline is dominated by the impressive Edinburgh Castle , which we also visit during the day.

Perched high on an extinct volcano, Edinburgh Castle has stood watch over the city for more than 3,000 years. From here, we enjoy sweeping views of the capital while learning about the castle's central role in Scotland's dramatic history. Its ancient halls and fascinating stories make this one of the country's most significant landmarks.

We have time for lunch on our own in the city.

Later in the afternoon we meet again for a visit to a local distillery. Here we will gain an insight into Scotland's proud whisky culture and craft tradition.

Feel free to arrange dinner on your own this evening.

Map

After breakfast we meet our driver and guide and travel west into Scotland's magnificent landscapes.

We pass the impressive Kelpies before stopping in Callander, often called the “Gateway to the Highlands”, where we take a break.

The journey continues through the dramatic landscape of the Trossachs National Park with rolling hills, sparkling lakes and sweeping vistas, before reaching the charming whitewashed harbour town of Inveraray, where we have time for lunch on our own.

During the day we also visit historic Stirling Castle , beautifully situated high on a volcanic cliff. The castle is often described as the link between the Highlands and the Lowlands and has played a crucial role in the history of Scotland. Here we will take part in dramatic events and legendary figures such as William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and Mary Stuart.

Later we head to Loch Lomond , where we enjoy a relaxing boat trip on the lake surrounded by magnificent scenery.

The last stop of the day is the picturesque village of Luss , where we can stroll along the famous “bonnie banks” of Loch Lomond.

We arrive in Glasgow in the early evening and check into our centrally located hotel. We arrange dinner on our own at one of the city's many restaurants.

We stay for two nights at Ibis City Centre with breakfast.

Day 7 Glasgow
Map

We begin with a visit to Glasgow Cathedral , one of Scotland's best-preserved medieval buildings. Here we explore both the exterior and interior and learn about the connection to the city's patron saint, St. Mungo. The atmospheric crypt is one of the finest preserved in the country.

A short walk takes us to the Glasgow Necropolis , a beautiful Victorian cemetery overlooking the city. From here we enjoy the views while hearing stories about prominent figures from Glasgow's 19th century history.

We also pass Merchant City, George Square and Glasgow Green and get a feel for the city's development through the ages.

After lunch on your own in the city centre, we continue to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum , one of Scotland's most popular cultural institutions. Here we encounter Scottish art and history, international masterpieces and works by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

Later we visit the Riverside Museum and Clyde Waterfront , where Glasgow's proud shipbuilding and transport history is brought to life. The modern architecture and engaging exhibitions tell the story of the city's strong ties to the River Clyde. Outside we can also see the historic Tall Ship Glenlee.
