Reykjavik City Walk
Day 1 Arrival in Reykjavik
We fly to Keflavík Airport where our transfer is waiting. On the way to Reykjavik we get our first glimpse of Iceland's dramatic landscape. Upon arrival, we check in at our hotel. The evening is free to explore the capital at your own pace.
Day 2 The Golden Circle
After breakfast we meet our local guide for a full day tour along the famous Golden Circle. We visit Þingvellir National Park, where the world's oldest parliament was founded and where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. We continue to the geothermally active Geysir area, where Strokkur erupts at regular intervals. The day concludes at the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, plunging into a deep canyon. We return to Reykjavik in the late afternoon and the evening is at leisure.
Day 3 Reykjavik with Guided City Walk
In the morning we meet our guide for a walking tour of Reykjavik. The city takes its name from the steam pillars of hot springs that once rose here and still do within the city limits.
Reykjavik is home to about half of Iceland's roughly 300,000 inhabitants and is both Europe's northernmost and westernmost capital. The area has been inhabited since the 9th century, although much of the city was built in the 20th century. Highlights include the National Museum, Hallgrímskirkja, and the Árni Magnússon Institute. Reykjavik also hosted the legendary 1972 chess match between American Bobby Fischer and the Soviet champion Boris Spassky.

Day 4 Reykjavik - Free Time & Optional Excursions
After breakfast the day is free for your own adventures. Reykjavik offers a wide range of sights, restaurants and shops for those who prefer to stay in the city. You can also book one of our optional excursions:
Blue Lagoon
Unwind in mineral rich, turquoise waters that keep a soothing 36–39°C year-round. Set amid a lava field, the Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland's signature experiences - equal parts relaxation and natural wonder.
Note: If you prefer to do both excursions, the Blue Lagoon can also be scheduled on Day 3.
South Shore Tour
A full day excursion for those who want to see even more of Iceland: black-sand beaches, powerful waterfalls, and glacier views that showcase the island’s dramatic nature at its best.
Day 5 Reykjavik – Home City
After breakfast we depart Reykjavik and head to Keflavík Airport for our flight home.
